Pulling Teeth - Vicious Skin

Pulling Teeth
Vicious Skin
Chainsaw Safety Records
7/10

One second Pulling Teeth emits a crossover, pseudo-metal bombardment, the next the group spews crusty filth, making “Vicious Skin” a tough-as-nails, if all too brief foray into neck-snapping territory.

Singer Mike Riley snidely growls as the group tears through over-before-you-know it romps like “Rot Forgotten” while the rest of this five-piece outfit forms a noise-addled backdrop of blistering axework and closed-fist beats suitable for any sort of destruction you might have in mind.

There’s little doubt that Pulling Teeth has the ability to whip up concertgoers into a black-eyed, bloody-lipped frenzy, but hey – where’s the rest of the album?

In spite of the brevity herein, this one will get you smashing pictures and flipping over couches with the quickness.
